Our Children Are Our Future!
And we want to make sure they are as
mentally and physically healthy as possible.
For over 45 years, HeartLand Child & Family Services has served North Sacramento communities. Our mental health team provides counseling, and when necessary, medication to help children cope with the stresses of everyday life.
A child’s pain is a concern for the entire family. Let us give you the tools to help solve the issues that are causing your child and family stress. Our experience can help overcome those obstacles that may be negatively affecting your child/ren and your family.
HeartLand Child & Family Services will tailor our services to your family’s needs, employing our many years of experience and appropriate evidence-based practices for emotional health and wellness.
MISSION STATEMENT
HeartLand is committed to Doing Whatever It Takes to cultivate resiliency and wellness in families and to empower them to meet life challenges with strength and confidence. HeartLand strives to be a strong advocate in the community to overcome the stigma associated with living with mental illness and homelessness. We understand that until the basic needs for shelter, food security and safety are met, children and their families have limited emotional stamina available to fully engage in supportive services addressing other needs. HeartLand’s partnership with each individual or family on their journey toward wellness prioritizes secure food and shelter as the basis for meaningful and enduring stability in mental health and wellness goals.
HeartLand has a strong commitment to racial diversity, equity, and inclusion. We seek out a work force that reflects and honors the racial, ethnic and cultural diversity of the clients that we serve. We value the unique perspective and contributions of those with lived experience among our staff. At HeartLand, we celebrate the richness that a diverse staff brings to our organization and take pride in providing an inclusive and supportive environment for our clients and our staff.
