We are that kind of non-profit! HeartLand Child & Family Services provides outpatient mental health services to children and young adults in North Sacramento. We are passionate about providing our youth with the best care possible and our employees with a collegial, supportive environment with an emphasis on personal satisfaction and career development.
We are seeking full-time licensed clinicians (LCSW or LMFT) and unlicensed interns (ASW or AMFT), seeking hours toward licensure, or hours completed and waiting to test. Supervision hours are provided weekly for those working toward licensure.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop clinical assessment and diagnosis for children and young adults; develop treatment plan, goals, interventions and clinical objectives based on quantifiable outcome measures; provide psycho-education to caregivers, teachers and members of community support network; establish treatment contracts and safety plans; provide direct psychotherapy and support to clients and family, including, individual, group and family therapy, as well as other evidence-based interventions such as trauma-informed and cognitive behavioral therapies; function as a child and parent advocate, participate in treatment and discharge planning activities, in-service training programs and clinical case presentations as required; conduct peer review and utilization management activities; coordinate care with medical staff and community-based providers; ensure comprehensive discharge planning and development of aftercare plans; complete thorough and timely documentation and accurate medical records; attend individual and group supervision and other educational forums.
SKILLS: Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing. Must be organized, computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and possess good time management skills.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completed MA/MS in Social Work, Psychology or Marriage & Family Therapy required to apply. Valid State of CA driver’s license. Ability to pass Department of Justice criminal background check.
